To increase boys’ health and wellness while preventing high risk behaviors by using physical activity and training.

Total Trek Quest is a 10 week highly interactive program designed exclusively for boys in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades where they can explore and develop their individuality and strengths. Boys participating in Total Trek Quest will be challenged physically, develop healthy interpersonal and social/ relational skills, be valued for who they are and have fun!

  • 10 week after school program
•Including the Kickoff and 5K
•Boys have 18 curriculum lessons
  • 3rd through 5th grade boys
  • Teams of 10-15 boys per every 2 coaches
  • Teams meet twice a week for 90 minutes each time
  • Teams meet at elementary schools
  • Program happens in both Spring and Fall
•School participation in both semesters depends on school needs
  • Curriculum based
  • Train for a 5k run

COACHES

The program is dependent on volunteer coaches who are willing to give their time, support and effort to a group of boys in their community.

 

Help 3rd grade boys train for and complete a 5k race!

Who: Anyone interested in mentoring and encouraging Ottawa County boys in making healthy choices.  Coaches must be 18 years of age and pass a criminal background and central registry clearance check.  All coaching tools, curriculum's and trainings will be provided by TTQ.

When: Practices are after school for 9 weeks, 90 minutes, 2 times a week.  Coaches must attend Kick-off Event, 5k, a 4 hour curriculum training, and CPR for those who need it.

TTQ ADVISORY BOARD 

The TTQ Advisory Board’s mission is to connect TTQ to the community and ensure the program meets the needs of the community and stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership ideas and oversight
  • Make community contacts to support program implementation
  • Assist with program development and evaluation
  • Assist with program volunteer recruitment needs
  • Meets quarterly
